Name

 Thomas filters sealant used in HEPA    (THO4040-6)

Outline

It is a one-component modified epoxy adhesive. The surface of the firm bonding is smooth and bright. The bonding can be formed only if heated.

Applications

It is applied to the bonding and sealing of the frames to filter media which can be made of plastics, composite fibers as well as the metal mesh.  

Features

It is sticky paste.

Curing time: It sets within 60mins when heated at the temperature of 120°C.

Being weather and heat-resistant, it adapts to a wide range of temperature and bonds well under high temperature.

Having low shrinkage, it can stand temperature shocks.

You’ll get long term durability and resistance to moisture, chemicals, oils, and temperature extremes even if it is exposed to some harsh environment

Shelf time is one year at 3-5°C.

The main technical parameters are as follows:

Heat resistance scope��- 55°C—500°C  hardness: shore D 83   shrinkage: 0.8  water absorption rate:24 h��0.05% 

Tensile strength≥28MPa ;     Shearing strength≥30 Mpa      at 320°C, tensile strength:3-4.6MPa

Instruction

1. Clean the surface of the material with our special cleaning agent, make sure they have no dust or oxide layer on them, wait until they are dry.

2. Pour the adhesive into the gap.

3. Heating (heating temperature is suggested to be between 100°C to 130°C)

1) Put it in the oven, heat it at the temperature of 110°C for 60 minutes or even longer depending on the heat absorption rate of material choosing.

2)Put it in the oven and rise the temperature gradually,switch to 100°C, and heat for 10 minute, and then rise the temperature to 120°C , heat it for 40 minutes.  

Notes

1.If it has contact with skin, you should wash thoroughly with soap and water.

2 It is advised to be stored at well-ventilated places with low temperature, and keep them away from fire.

3 Cover the lip after using it.
