First, the carbon neutral policy has driven the further transfer of my country's electrolytic aluminum production capacity to regions with hydropower advantages such as the southwest region, and at the same time increased the cost of thermal power aluminum, highlighting the increasing cost advantage of hydropower aluminum.
Second, our province is a province in the central and western regions of the "Catalogue of Encouraged Industries in the Western Region (2020 Edition)" that has included the entire industrial chain of green aluminum industry production, deep processing and its application in the newly-added encouraged industries. Give full play to the advantages of green energy, undertake the transfer of the electrolytic aluminum industry in an orderly manner, and promote the integrated development of hydropower and aluminum materials.
Third, hydropower aluminum has lower cost and strong competitiveness under the blessing of the dual-carbon policy. The national industrial policy also supports the development of hydropower aluminum industry in Yunnan, which provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Honghe Prefecture to undertake the Weiqiao project.
Fourth, through 3-5 years of hard work, after the completion of the green and low-carbon demonstration industrial park with an investment of more than 40 billion yuan, it can develop 2 million tons of aluminum water production and aluminum alloy processing capacity while developing deep processing of profiles and rail car bodies. and terminal products, to create a group of green and low-carbon aluminum industry clusters.
After all projects in the park are put into production, the annual industrial sales revenue will exceed 120 billion yuan, the industrial added value will exceed 30 billion yuan, and 12,000 jobs will be directly absorbed.
