The value of China's aluminum product exports has fallen for two consecutive months

According to customs data, China exported 718,000 tons of aluminum and its products (Chapter 76 of the Customs Tariff) in September, down 8.1 percent from August. This is a 20.7% drop from the monthly export volume in July this year. This is the second consecutive month that China's aluminum and its products have experienced a decline in exports.
The export volume of aluminum products in September was 470,000 tons, down 8.3% from the previous month. Among them, the export of aluminum sheet and strip and aluminum foil was 254,000 tons and 119,000 tons respectively, down 12.0% and 7.8% month-on-month, and the export of aluminum extrusion material was 94,000 tons, up 2.1% month-on-month. In September, the export of aluminum products was 225,000 tons, down 7.4% month-on-month and 8.7% year-on-year.
However, according to the cumulative statistics from January to September, the cumulative export volume of China's aluminum and its products was 7.21 million tons, an increase of 17.1% compared with the same period last year; the cumulative export value was 33 billion US dollars, an increase of 35.1% compared with the same period last year.
From January to September, the cumulative export of aluminum products was 4.813 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 22.8%; among which the cumulative year-on-year export growth of aluminum sheet and foil was 35.3% and 14.9%, and the cumulative export of aluminum profiles increased by 2.6%.
From January to September, the cumulative export of aluminum products was 2.033 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%.

In September, China exported 76,100 tons of aluminum wheels, an increase of 1.9% from the previous month. From January to September, the cumulative export of aluminum wheels was 672,300 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10%.
