REAL ALLOY Europe joins ASI as new Production & Transformation member

REAL ALLOY Europe has joined Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) as a Production & Transformation member, bringing the total number of ASI members to 105.

REAL ALLOY is a global market leader in third-party aluminium recycling and specification alloy production. The company converts aluminium and magnesium scrap as well as by-products into reusable metal.

In Europe, REAL ALLOY is the leading recycler of aluminium scrap and magnesium. The company operates six facilities in Germany, Norway, and the UK.  The facilities provide metal and conversion capacity for industries such as the automotive, construction, and packaging sectors. Advanced technologies enable REAL ALLOY to process a large variety of scrap and dross and thereby reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminium manufacturing that would otherwise end up in landfill.

With Aluminium recycling at the core of our business aluminium stewardship is an inherent part of our corporate “fabric”. Thus, becoming a member of ASI seems a natural step for us to make. We are looking forward to becoming a part of the ASI community and to benefit from as much as contribute to the sharing and learning offered by their members, REAL ALLOY said.

ASI is a global, multi-stakeholder, non-profit standards setting and certification organisation that aims to recognise and foster the responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium.
