Dajcor Aluminum is finally broke ground on its plant in Perry County in the U.S. state of Kentucky on November 2. Dajcor Aluminum, a Canada based manufacturer and supplier of extruded, fabricated/machined and anodized aluminium components and assemblies for automotive, renewable energy, medical equipment, transportation and various other industries announced the investment in May 2019.
"We are very excited to get this plant running and going and hopefully come March we will be pushing aluminium out of the plant," said Vice President of Operations for Dajcor Steven Everitt.
The plant is likely to create more than 200 jobs in Perry County, which offers a ready workforce as well as excellent state-of-the-art fabrication training facilities.
"This is a game-changer for the region. This is a high tech company with 200 plus job and an opportunity to show off to the world we can do this stuff," explained Congressman Hal Rogers.
Dajcor is planning to create job opportunities while bringing money to the people in the mountains and expand their operations in many different ways.
"It is heartwarming that we got 265 people in this plant that is able to keep their family here where they want to be," said Congressman Rogers.
Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin also expressed his optimism over the plant, when it was announced in May 2019. “Dajcor Aluminum has selected an excellent location for its first US operation and will be a great fit for the workforce in and around Perry County. We are grateful to Dajcor for their decision to locate in Kentucky, and we stand ready to help this company achieve its goals and continue its rapid growth,” he said.
